Community & Safety Guidelines
TrunkShare works because neighbors trust neighbors. These are the rules everyone agrees to.
Prohibited Items
You may not ship, and Drivers must not carry:
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons of any kind
- Illegal drugs, cannabis, or controlled substances
- Alcohol or tobacco products
- Hazardous materials: fuel, propane, corrosives, flammables, batteries in bulk
- Live animals or human remains
- Perishable food requiring refrigeration or freezing
- Cash, gift cards, negotiable instruments, or precious metals
- Stolen goods or counterfeit merchandise
- Anything illegal under federal, Washington, or local law
Open-Box Verification
Every delivery uses in-app photo checkpoints at pickup and drop-off. Both parties must complete the checklist. Skipping steps voids escrow protection and may lead to account suspension.
Sender Conduct
- Describe items honestly, including fragility and value.
- Package for the road โ bumps, temperature, and weather happen.
- Be on time at pickup and drop-off, or communicate through the app.
- Never ask a Driver to break the law or drive unsafely.
Driver Conduct
- Only accept jobs that fit your actual route and vehicle.
- Never drive impaired or fatigued.
- Keep items secure; do not open sealed packages.
- Maintain a valid license, registration, and insurance meeting Washington minimums.
Respect & Anti-Discrimination
Discrimination or harassment based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability is prohibited and will result in permanent removal.
Off-Platform Activity
Arranging payment or deliveries outside TrunkShare voids escrow, insurance, and dispute support, and violates our Terms.
Reporting
Report unsafe behavior, prohibited items, or fraud immediately to support@trunkshare.com. In an emergency, call 911 first.
Enforcement
Violations may result in warnings, refunds withheld from escrow, temporary suspension, or permanent removal. Serious violations are reported to law enforcement.
